[Solved]: Opera mini "unable to connect to the internet. Please check your settings" error

Opera Mini is one of the most popular mobile browsers. Lot of users facing one problem while opening opera mini on their phones. When we open opera mini for first time, it may shows "Connect to the internet. Please check your settings" error. Let we see the solution to this problem briefly.

Install Opera Mini:

To install Opera Mini, goto m.operamini.com from your mobile's native browser. It will detect your phone model and gives download link both for Opera Mini and Opera Mobile browsers. Download Opera Mini (or Opera Mobile) and install it on your phone.

Opera Mini Error on Nokia Mobiles:

Solution 1:

If you face "Connect to the internet. Please check your settings" error on your nokia mobiles, exit opera mini and do the followings:

1. Select "Opera Mini" and click "Options"

2. Click "App.access"

3. Click "Data access"

4. Edit "Read user data" and "Add and edit data"

5. Select "Always allowed" or "Ask every time"

Open Opera Mini again, it will work.

Solution 2:

Press and hold Home button. It will shows Currently running applications. Close all application and open Opera Mini. It will works.

Opera Mini Error on Android Mobiles:

If you installed any VOIP application on your android smartphones, you may get ""Connect to the internet. Please check your settings" error. First uninstall VOIP application and try to open Opera Mini. It will works.

If above solutions is not working, uninstall recently installed android applications.
